I have recently come to live in Mauritius and after the cold, generally grey UK, this has brought an explosion of colour into my life.  My artwork is inspired by the rich vibrant colours of the world around me and I try to express the exuberance and optimism I feel through my paintings.

I have produced a number of acrylic paintings, both on canvas and paper. My style is bright and bold and abstract, using line rather than form to create interesting shapes and patterns. 

In order to achieve each finished artwork, I work either from the object or scene itself or from photographs I have taken.  I then produce a series of sketches, preliminary drawings and paintings trying out different ideas, looking at composition and scale.
